The chaste Raja Rammandir, elaborate and intricately decorated Jahangirmahal as well as a host of other cenotaphs, tombs and temples are peppered all over Orchha and are the must see destinations on a Central Indian sojourn.

Orchha travel offers detailed information on the important tourist destinations, dinning and accommodation facilities and means of transportation of the town. Orchha is a small town in the Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh, which is situated at a distance of 120 kilometers from Gwalior and 178 kilometers from Khajuraho. The best time to visit Orchha is between October and March.

Orchha is certainly not a popular address for the foodies, but it does have something to offer to the tourists which is Indian in every sense. The tiny historic town presents mouth-watering vegetarian culinary preparations. The restaurants are not very glitzy, and they have certain earthiness about them, the trademark of this place.

The small market in the large square in front of the Ram Raja Temple is where there are lots of stalls selling Indian sweets. A guy called me over and gave me a few samples to try. They're very sweet, sickly so and taste and feel like fudge. The good thing in this market is that no one will hassle you.

Enjoy a sip of beer or the best of wines and liquors at the finest bars in Orchha. Lobbies, restaurants, convention halls, meeting rooms, rest rooms and recreation rooms are generally what a hotel consists of. But all of these are of no use if there is no scope for some fun and entertainment during a holiday and this exactly where the bars and clubs play an important role.

Around 20 km south-east of Jhansi is the small town of Orchha. Settled besides the Betwa river, this town of the Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh was the seat of former princely state of Central India. It was founded by Bundela Rajput chieftain, Rudra Pratap with the aim of making it his capital.
