Khawnglung Wildlife Sanctuary is situated at distance nearly 170 kms away from the region of Aizawl in the Indian state of Mizoram and the total area covered by the sanctuary measures about 35 square kilometres. It is based at an elevation of nearly 400 to 1300 metres and the most prominent vegetation of the sanctuary is Sub-Tropical and Semi Evergreen Forests.
