The Ancient Adventures Tour includes many parts of Northern India and will give you the chance to experience both the classical Golden Triangle, the holy Varanasi and the hill station Manali. This tour will offer you and your spontaneous partner, family members or friends a journey of a lifetime filled with adventure, spirituality and history.
Day 1 Arrival in Delhi
The Ancient Adventures Tour begins by arriving in Delhi. A car will be arranged to transfer to a hotel to check in. Later, enjoy the night at the hotel and prepare for tomorrow’s adventure to start.
Day 2 Delhi sights – Jaipur awaits
This day starts with a warm hotel breakfast followed by a city tour of Old and New Delhi. The first visit will be made to the India Gate, a beautiful architectural structure dedicated to the 82.000 soldiers that sacrificed their lives in the First World War. Also make a visit to the Parliament House which was constructed in 1921.
Continue on to the stunning Lotus Temple, a Bahá’í House of Worship built in 1986 and the Jama Masjid – the largest mosque in India. Also get the chance to witness the impressive Qutub Minar, the second tallest minar in India and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The original structure was built in the 1200 and the minar reaches 74 meters. Lastly, make a visit to the important Gandhi Memorial, also known as Raj Ghat, which is a place to honor Mahatma Gandhi. It is also the site of his cremation.
Later it is time to continue the journey to the next destination of this tour, drive 5-6 hours to the Pink City, Jaipur. On arrival, check in to a hotel and then enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 3 Jaipur attractions
Get refreshed with a tasty breakfast at the hotel and next enjoy a tour of the ancient Amber Fort which is located on a hilltop. This fort contains many massive halls, temples and palaces inside the complex; study and enjoy the Hindu influences of the complex closely.
Afterwards, get a chance to enjoy the Pink City with a city tour of the City Palace and Museum, the Jantar Mantar observatory and Hawa Mahal. Later experience the magnetic bazaars of Jaipur and embark on the hunt for souvenirs, spices and fabric and get a chance to test some bargaining skills.
Later enjoy an overnight stay back at the hotel to get reenergized.
Day 4 Mesmerizing Agra
After enjoying a filling morning breakfast at the hotel, get ready for the next destination of the tour: Agra. During the car ride, taking about 5 hours, unwind and relax before arriving in Agra and checking in to the hotel.
In the afternoon, get the chance to experience one of the highlights of this tour, the Taj Mahal. Telling the world a love story of our times, this stunning monument is visited by millions of tourists each year. Built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between the years of 1632-1653, he chose to keep his promise to his late wife Mumtaz Mahal and dedicate the rest of his life to honouring her with building this monument.
Later get a chance to also visit the beautiful Agra Fort – described as a walled city, it was built in 1566 and is the destination of many historic battles.
Get then back to the hotel to enjoy an energizing sleep.
Day 5 Mathura visit – Varanasi train

Enjoy a warm breakfast at the hotel this morning and then have some time at own leisure. In the afternoon, prepare for a car ride to Mathura, taking about 1.5 hours to reach. This city is known as the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Here get the chance to enjoy some beautiful temples and other tributes to the Lord. Later, get transferred to Mathura railway station and connect for the KOTA PNBE Express Train to Varanasi and enjoy the night on board.
Day 6 The Holy Varanasi
This day begins by arriving in Varanasi with the Kota PNBE Express Train and on arrival transfer to a hotel to check in. Relax and get reenergized at the hotel and in the evening enjoy a visit to a Ganga Aarti Ceremony by the ghats.
Later enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7 Spiritual experience and Sarnath excursion
Get ready for a spiritual experience which will take place this early morning by taking a boat ride on the Ganges river during sunrise. Enjoy the sights of the bathing ghats at the river bank and some of the cremation sites.
Then explore the city with a full tour by visiting the Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir, Sankat Mochan Temple, Benaras Hindu University. Later get back to the hotel to enjoy a breakfast.
At noon, enjoy a trip to the nearby city Sarnath, famous for its historical and religious significance during the time of Buddha. It is said that this is where Buddha preached his first sermon and many devotees travel here to re-experience the wonders that happened at this sacred site.
Later get back to the hotel and enjoy a good night’s rest.
Day 8 Varanasi leisure - Delhi
Shiv Ganga Express train to Delhi
Start this morning with a warm hotel breakfast and have the day to explore the city freely. Perhaps there is some interest to experience a religious rite down by the bathing ghats, or to try some local food delights.
In the evening, get transferred to the Varanasi railway station and connect for the Shiv Gang express train to Delhi. Spend the night on board of this adventurous train ride.
Day 9 Arrival in Delhi
In the morning, arrive in Delhi by train and enjoy the rest of the day at own leisure. Take this chance to explore some historical sites such as Connaught Place, as well as enjoying the colourful bazaars nearby to practice some bargaining skills.
Enjoy the night at a hotel to get energy for tomorrow’s journey.
Day 10 Manali awaits

Get started with a tasty breakfast at the hotel and then prepare to transfer by car to Manali, taking around 12-13 hours. Take this time to relax and get reenergized, and on arrival check in to a hotel. Enjoy the night at the hotel and get some good sleep.
Day 11 Manali attractions
Regain the energy with a fresh morning breakfast and then prepare for a journey to the Rohtang Pass/Snow Point. Here, get the chance to explore and enjoy the sights of mountain ranges, glaciers and snowy mountain tops. If feeling adventurous, take the chance to ride down the slopes with a sledge ride or try to climb the smaller snow hills.
At noon, make a visit to some of the beautiful temples in the area such as the Hadimba Devi Temple and Manu Temple. Later enjoy a visit to Jagatsukh Naga Art Gallert and the Tibetan Monastery.
Then proceed to Vashisht Village which is just outside Manali and is known for their hot sulphur springs where the water is said to have healing abilities.
Later enjoy an overnight stay back at the hotel.
Day 12 Manali to Delhi
Wake up refreshed to a warm breakfast at the hotel followed by an arranged car ride back to Delhi. On arrival, check in to a hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening freely. Later enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 13 Departure
Flights ( Delhi)
Enjoy this last day in Delhi with a filling morning breakfast and if time allows, activities at own leisure. Then get transferred to the airport to connect for a flight to an onward destination.
