The city of Bodhgaya is known for the place where Buddha attained enlightenment. In Varanasi, more specifically the ancient site of Sarnath, it is believed that Buddha preached his first sermon. In Kushinagar, Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana, and Lumbini (Nepal) is the birth place of Buddha.

Day 1 Arrival in Delhi
India Gate - New Delhi
Start the tour by arriving in the capital of India, New Delhi. On arrival, meet with a representative and get transferred to your hotel. Get some rest and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 2 Transfer to Patna
Wake up and enjoy a tasty breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to the airport to catch a flight to Patna. Meet with a representative on arrival and drive straight to Bodhgaya, taking about 3 hours. After arrival, check in to a hotel and in the afternoon visit the Mahabodhi Temple and Bodhgaya Archaeological Museum. Then head back to the hotel and enjoy a good night's sleep.
Day 3 Bodhgaya Experience

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a full day in Bodhgaya. Revisit the Mahabodhi Temple and get the chance to participate in the art of meditation. Also visit other temples in the area. In the evening, head back to the hotel to enjoy a good night's rest.
Day 4 Adventure to Patna

Wake up refreshed to warm morning breakfast at the hotel and afterwards drive to Patna. Enroute, visit Gridhakuta Hill and Bimbisara in Rajgir. Proceed to Nalanda (14 km from Rajgir) which was one of the oldest universities of the world and an International Centre for Buddhist studies. Later continue the drive to Patna and on arrival check in at the hotel. Enjoy overnight stay.
Day 5 Continue to Kushinagar
Begin the morning with a breakfast at the hotel and then head off to Kushinagar by car, taking about 8 hours. Enroute visit the ancient city of Vaishali. It was a city in ancient Bihar, India, and is now an archeological site. Have some free time here to explore this ancient site and then continue to Kushinagar. On arrival check in at the hotel and later visit the Rambhar Stupa - which marks Lord Buddha's cremation ground. Our second stop is Mahaparinirvana temple - which houses the recumbent figure of Lord Buddha. Later enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6 Journey to Lumbini
Start this morning with a filling breakfast at the hotel and then drive 5 hours to Lumbini - the birthplace of Buddha and located just a few kilometers inside Nepal. On arrival check in at the hotel. Also visit the Ashoka pillar and Maya Devi temple. Enjoy overnight stay at the hotel to regain energy for the next day.
Day 7 Holy city of Varanasi
Wake up early and enjoy a hotel breakfast, then drive 9 hours to Varanasi. Take this time to relax and enjoy the sights on the way, and on arrival check in at the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 8 The holy experience of Varanasi
Ancient ruins of Sarnath
In early morning, you will leave for a boat ride on the Ganges to see the bathing ghats (river bank) & cremation site - two rituals that are central to the Hindu faith. Enjoy a magical sunrise on the riverfront, as seen from a boat, a spiritually uplifting sight. Return back to the hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast, prepare for an excursion to Sarnath - the buried Buddhist city where Buddha preached his first sermon. Enjoy the time here to relive what laid the foundation for Buddha's enlightenment and the Buddhist religion.
Later transfer to the airport to connect for a flight to Delhi. Meet with a representative on arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Day 9 Delhi sights and departure day from Delhi
Jama Masjid - largest mosque in India
Start the last day of this tour with a filling breakfast at the hotel. The sites of Delhi await. Start the city tour of Old and New Delhi by visiting the India Gate - the war memorial dedicated to martyrs who laid their life during world war 1, a drive by the Parliament House – the Government headquarters, President House, and Qutub Minar - a World Heritage site that was built in the 12th century. Also visit the Jama Masjid which is the largest mosque in India, and visit the Gandhi Memorial dedicated to the father of our nation.
In the evening, transfer to the airport to connect for a flight to your onward destination.
