The Buddhism Pilgrimage Tour explores the cities and places of importance to Buddha's mortal life.
Sarnath is the place that Buddha first taught Dharma, it is located near to the holy city of Varanasi. Bodhgaya is known as the place where Buddha first attained enlightenment. Sravasti is the ancient city where Buddha spent 24 Chaturmases which is a holy period of four months. Kushinagar is the city where Buddha is believed to have attained Parinirvana after his death. Lumbini is believed to be the birth place of Lord Buddha. All of these sites are covered in this tour.
Sightseeings of Agra and Delhi are also included towards the latter part of this tour.
Day 1 The journey begins - Arrival in Delhi

Start this tour by arriving in Delhi and meet with a representative on arrival. Transfer to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 2 Journey to Varanasi

Enjoy an energizing breakfast at the hotel and then transfer to the airport to connect for a flight to Varanasi. On arrival, meet with a representative and check in to a hotel.
At noon, enjoy your first visit to a Buddhism pilgrimage site, an excursion to Sarnath - the buried Buddhist city where Buddha preached his first sermon. Enjoy some time here to exploring this ancient site and be guided by an expert, telling you the story of Buddha's journey.
Later head back to the hotel and enjoy a good night's sleep.
Day 3 Magical boat ride and trip to Bodhgaya

Wake up early and head out for a boat ride on the Ganges during which enjoy the sights of the surroundings and the magical sunrise. Then return back to the hotel and enjoy an energizing breakfast.
After breakfast, drive 5-6 hours to Bodhgaya - one of the most sacred places where Buddha is believed to have attained enlightenment some 2500 years back. On arrival check in to the hotel.
In the afternoon, visit Mahabodhi Temple - depicting the various phases of Buddha's journey towards enlightenment. Later visit the Bodhgaya Archaeological Museum which houses a small collection of Buddhist sculpture from the 1st century B.C, to the 11th century A.D.
Later head back to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 4 Exploring Bodhgaya
Wake up refreshed and enjoy a filling breakfast at the hotel. Later enjoy a full day in Bodhgaya. Start by revisiting the Mahabodhi temple and later visit other temples in the area.

Day 5 Journey to Patna

After enjoying a tasty breakfast at the hotel, drive to Patna. Enroute visit the famous Gridhakuta Hill and Bimbisara Jail in Rajgir. Then proceed to Nalnada which is one of the oldest universities of the world and an International Centre for Buddhist studies. Later continue to drive to Patna and on arrival check in at the hotel to enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 6 Vaishali experience & arriving in Kushinagar

After a filling morning breakfast, visit Vaishali to explore the sights and then drive 5-6 hours to Kushinagar.
On arrival check in to the hotel and later visit the Rambhar Stupa. This stupa marks Lord Buddha's cremation ground. Also visit the Mahaparinirvana temple which houses the recumbent figure of Lord Buddha and marks the spot where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana.
Later enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel and regain the energy for tomorrow's adventures.
Day 7 Lumbini - birth of Buddha

Enjoy a fresh morning breakfast at the hotel and then drive 5 hours to Lumbini - the birthplace of Buddha and located just a few kilometres inside Nepal. On arrival check in at the local hotel and later visit the site which is believed to be the birth place of Lord Buddha. Admire the Ashoka pillars and also visit the Maya Devi temple.
Later, head back to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 8 Sravasti journey - Bodhi tree
After a tasty breakfast at the hotel, drive 5-6 hours to Sravasti. On arrival check in to a hotel and later visit Sahet & Mahet -15 kilometres from Balrampur and the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Kosala. Sravasti has the honour of being the shelter for Buddha's for 24 rainy seasons in the Jetvana Vihar and has the famous Anand Bodhi tree, age-old stupas, majestic monasteries and several temples. Enjoy some time here to explore these magical and historical sites.
Later head back to the hotel and get a good night's rest.
Day 9 Make your way to Agra

After a hotel breakfast, drive 5 hours to Lucknow Railway station to connect to a train for Agra. Meet with a representative when arriving in Agra and transfer to a hotel to check in. Enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 10 Magical Taj Mahal and Agra Fort
After breakfast at the hotel, visit world famous Taj Mahal, the magical monument built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the loving memory of his wife empress “Mumtaz Mahal”. Enjoy some time here to explore this architectural structure and hearing about the love story of our lifetime.
Also visit the Agra Fort, better explained as a walled city built in 1566. Study the progress of Mughal structural design from red stones to white marbles.
At noon, drive 5 hours to Delhi and check in to the hotel on arrival and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 11 Last day of the tour

Enjoy a morning breakfast at the hotel and then experience a city tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit the India Gate, a war memorial dedicated to the soldier's lives lost in the First World War. Continue with a drive by the Government's Headquarters and Parliament House.
Also visit the stunning Qutub Minar structure, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and later visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India.
Lastly visit the Gandhi Memorial, a memorial marking the site of his cremation.
In the evening, transfer to the airport to connect for a flight to an onward destination.
