Day 1 Arrival in Delhi
Begin the journey of this tour by arriving at the airport in Delhi and getting transferred to a hotel. Check in to the hotel and unwind. Have the rest of the day free at own leisure to get energized for the upcoming tour days and then enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 Exploring the sights of Delhi
Get reenergized with a tasty morning breakfast at the hotel and prepare for an exciting sightseeing day in Delhi. Start with a visit to the famous Raj Ghat spot, the area where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated and which today is a very important memorial site. Also visit the stunning Jama Masjid mosque which is another amazing construction by Shah Jahan, completed in 1656. Near the mosque, there will be the opportunity to walk through the famous Chandni Chowk market, which is one of the oldest and busiest markets in Delhi. Practice some bargaining skills here in the hunt of the perfect souvenir to bring back to loved ones.
Later continue for sightseeing in New Delhi, starting with a visit to the historical monument Qutub Minar. The construction of Qutub Minar was started in 1200 by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak and it is today one of the tallest minarets in India, reaching a height of over 73 meters. Also visit the India Gate memorial, a monument built to honor the soldier’s lives that were lost during World War I, then nearby drive through the Rashtrapathi Bhawan, also known as the Presidential Headquarters.
Lastly visit some important temples of Delhi, starting with Laxminarayan Temple, also known as “Birla Mandir”. This is a Hindu temple dedicated to Laxmi and Narayana and it was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1939. Also visit the stunning Lotus Temple, with its impressive architectural form of a flower.
Head back to the hotel to enjoy an overnight stay and a good night’s rest.
Day 3 Journey to Agra
Wake up refreshed to a warm hotel breakfast and prepare to head off to the next destination of this tour, Agra.
After arriving in Agra, check in to a hotel and get refreshed. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to the beautiful Agra Fort. Built by the third Mughal emperor, Akbar, this fort consists of many buildings, structures and walls which can be explored.
Next up visit the stunning Taj Mahal, one of the highlights of this tour and surely a monument that has been anticipated. The Taj Mahal was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his late wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Mumtaz Mahal passed during the birth of her fourteenth child and Shah Jahan made the promise to honor his queen and had the Taj Mahal built as her mausoleum, and today both Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal are laid to rest in the Taj Mahal. The structure of the Taj Mahal is incredibly impressive and is described as the pinnacle of Mughal architecture.
Lastly there will be an opportunity to visit the renowned Dayalbagh institute. Known as the “Garden of Merciful”, the Dayalbagh is a self-contained colony in which the population cooperate together to sustain their community and practice the highly spiritual ideals of their faith. Day 4 The ghost town of Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur awaits
Start this morning with a tasty breakfast meal at the hotel and then check out from the hotel to begin the journey to the Pink City of Jaipur. On the way, visit the famous Fatehpur Sikri, a city which was founded in 1569 by the Mughal emperor Akbar, but later abandoned due to the lack of water. It is a popular attraction to visit any many people come to explore this ghost town, which today is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 5 Historical monuments and sights of Jaipur
Elephant Ride at Amber
This lovely morning will begin with a flavorful breakfast at the hotel and then awaits a visit to the famous Amber Fort. This impressive fort complex is located on a picturesque hilltop and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with 5 other forts of Rajasthan. An elephant back ride can be enjoyed to reach the entrance at the top according to availability and at own cost. Inside the fort complex, explore the many different temples, buildings and rooms with their artistic design, impressive structure and beautiful art pieces.
Later enjoy a drive by the beautiful and iconic Hawa Mahal structure, also known as “the Palace of Winds”. The Hawa Mahal building is a popular attraction in Jaipur and a monument which few people miss when visiting Jaipur due to its central location. The palace was built in 1799 to let the royal ladies watch the everyday life outside in their discretion. It is located within the City Palace complex which will also be visited. The City Palace was built in the nineteenth century for the royal family and shows a mix of Mughal and Rajput architecture. The former royal family still lives in a part of the palace today. Part of the palace is also a museum where antique objects and historical pieces are displayed.
Lastly visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site listed Jantar Mantar observatory. This astronomical observatory consists of 14 major geometric devices which measure time, tracks constellations and observes the orbits around the sun. One of the popular structures within the area is the Samrat Yantra, which is the world’s largest sundial.

Day 6 Back to Delhi

Day 7 The colorful Amritsar
Regain the energy this beautiful morning by enjoying a breakfast at the hotel and then prepare to head off to the railway station to catch the train for Amritsar. In Amritsar, check in to a hotel and then visit the Harmandir Sahib, more commonly known as “The Golden Temple”, which is the holiest gurdwara to Sikhs. This gurdwara was completed in 1604 and inside is the holy scripture of Sikhism, the Adi Granth.
In the evening, visit the famous Wagah Border, known for their “lowering of the flags” or “The Beating Retreat” ceremony. This is a daily military practice which has been followed since 1959 by the security forces of India and Pakistan and can be described as a unique experience.

Day 8 Manali awaits

Day 9 Historical and spiritual sights of Manali
Enjoy a fresh breakfast in the morning and next prepare for a visit to the Jagatsukh Nagar Art Gallery, Hidimba Devi Temple and the Tibetan Monastery.
The Hidimba Devi Temple is an ancient temple which lies in the middle of a sacred forest near the Himalaya mountain and in honor of the Goddess Durgha. Enjoy the architectural structure which has been described as unique and mysterious. The Tibetan Monastery is a popular attraction of Manali and many people come here to make a visit to enjoy the unique handmade crafts such as carpets and to explore the surroundings. Many Tibetans settled in this area a long time ago and therefore the these monasteries were set up.
Continue on to visit the Vashisht Village which is just outside Manali and famous for its hot Sulphur springs where the water is known to have healing characteristics. Many people travel here to take a bath in these healing waters as well as exploring the temples, relaxed atmosphere and peaceful nature.

Day 10 Rohtang Pass excursion
Enjoy a flavorful morning breakfast at the hotel and prepare for today’s excursion to Rohtang Pass. This spot will give you the amazing experience of nature at its best and most powerful state. Day 11 Ancient Kullu Valley - Shimla awaits

Day 12 Shimla's popular attractions
Begin the morning by getting reenergized with a warm meal at the hotel. Next continue to explore the sights of Shimla, starting with Jakhu Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to the monkey God, Hanuman. This temple is situated at the highest peak in Shimla and therefore offers a stunning scenic view. The temple is believed to have been built in Hanuman’s footprints and many devotees come here to offer their prayers.
Continue on to make a visit to the Viceregal Lodge, a building that was built by the British as the residence for Lord Dufferin. Even though it is more than 125 years old, it is still very well maintained and today serves as an institute for Advanced Studies.

Day 14 Gardens of Chandigarh – Back to Delhi
