Get the opportunity to embark on a journey to the past of India by witnessing ancient sites such as Sarnath; where Buddha preached his first sermon, Pushkar; with one of the last existing Brahma Temples dating back 2000 years and Jaipur; with the ancient Amber Fort. Day 1 Arrival in Delhi
Begin the Glance at the Past tour by arriving in at the Delhi international airport. On arrival, get transferred and checked in to a hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 2 Haridwar journey
After enjoying a good night’s rest, wake up to a warm morning breakfast and later a car will be arranged to drive to Haridwar, taking around 5-6 hours. After arriving, check in to a hotel and unwind. In the evening, visit Har-ki-Pauri to get a chance to experience the holy Ganges Aarti. This is a beautiful ceremony where deeyas (oil lamps) are used as a symbol and are offered to Lord Shiva, and dedication is made to the Ganges river, Fire, Sun and Universe.
Later, enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel and get some energy for tomorrow’s adventure.
Day 3 Haridwar attractions
Mansa Devi Temple
Wake up refreshed to a hearty morning breakfast at the hotel and later prepare for today’s sightseeing of the city. Begin with visiting some of the marvellous temples such as the Mansha Temple, Chandi Temple Devi, Daksh Mandir and Pawan Dham.
Later, enjoy a car ride to Rishikesh, taking about 45 minutes, and on arrival continue to visit some holy sites such as Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Bharat Mandir and the Triveni Ghat.
In the evening, enjoy a Ganga ceremony at Parmarth Niketan and later drive back to Haridwar and enjoy a good night’s rest at the hotel.
Day 4 Travel on to Allahabad

Begin this morning with a tasty hotel breakfast and then transfer to the railway station to connect for a train to Allahabad. Spend the night on board and enjoy this relaxing ride with witnessing the sights around India.
Day 5 Allahabad rivers - Varanasi awaits
Varanasi Ganga Ghat
Arrive in Allahabad an on arrival proceed to Triveni Sangam which is the confluence point of 2 physical rivers; Ganga and Yamuna, and the invisible Saraswati river. This area is considered holy to Hindus and the holy pilgrimage Kumbh Mela is held here every 12 years.
After visiting the confluence point of the rivers, a car will be arranged to continue the journey to Varanasi, taking about 4 hours. On the way, make a stop at Sitimadi to visit a holy temple where it is said that Sita went under the earth. After arriving in Varanasi, check in to a hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 6 Varanasi sites
Varanasi Sankat Mochan Temple
This day will begin bright and early with a morning boat ride on the Ganges to witness the bathing Ghats on the river bank and different cremation sites. Enjoy the sunrise from this uplifting boat ride and find inner calm and peace.
Later, return to the hotel to enjoy a well-needed breakfast. The rest of the day will be a full-day tour of Varanasi and an excursion to Sarnath. Begin with a visit to the Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir and Sankat Mochan Temple. Continue on to visit Benaras Hindu University to enjoy a beautiful art gallery and explore a mosque by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
In the afternoon, prepare for the journey to Sarnath, the sacred city where Buddha preached his first sermon. At the Deer Park, it is said that Buddha first taught the Dharma for the first time. This city is today an important religious site and pilgrimage destination for many believers.
In the evening, visit and enjoy a Ganga Aarti Ceremony by the ghats and later get back to the hotel to get a good night’s rest after this eventful day.
Day 7 Varanasi leisure – Jaipur awaits
Jaipur Railway Station
Enjoy this morning with a hotel breakfast and relaxing at own leisure. In the evening, get transferred to the Varanasi railway station and connect to a train for Jaipur. Enjoy an overnight on board of the train.
Day 8 Arrival in Jaipur
Jantar Mantar Jaipur
After experiencing the exciting train ride to Jaipur, arrive and check in to a hotel to get refreshed. Later, enjoy a city tour of Jaipur and visit the City Palace and Museum, the UNESCO World Heritage Site listed Jantar Mantar observatory, Hawa Mahal and the colourful and bustling bazaars.
Enjoy an overnight stay back at the hotel.
Day 9 Jaipur attractions – Udaipur awaits
Get refreshed with an energizing breakfast the hotel and enjoy this day with a visit to the ancient Amber Fort, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with other forts in Rajasthan. This fort holds many beautiful halls, temples and structures inside the fort area which can be enjoyed during the tour. To reach the fort, which is located on a high hilltop, there will be a chance to enjoy an elephant ride to the top.
Later a car will be arranged to continue to the next destination of the tour: Udaipur, taking about 6-7 hours. On arrival, check in to a hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 10 Udaipur attractions
Jag Mandir Udaipur
Wake up to a tasty morning breakfast at the hotel and begin this day with a city tour of Udaipur. First visit the City Palace and the museum, Sahelion-ki-Bari and Lake Palace. The Lake Palace is today a luxury hotel, however it was built in 1743-1746 as a winter palace.
Continue the tour with a visit to Jaisamand Lake, Fatehsagar Lake and Gulab Bagh. Lastly, visit the stunning Jag Mandir palace which is built on an island in the Lake Pichola. If there is a wish to enjoy a boat ride in the lake, there will be an opportunity for this after the visit of the palace.
Later, get back to the hotel and enjoy an overnight stay to get some rest.
Day 11 Nathdwara and later Pushkar

Enjoy a flavorous morning breakfast at the hotel and then drive to the next destination, Pushkar, taking around 4-5 hours. On the way, visit Nathdwara, which is a town famous for their Shrinathji temple. In this temple, a shrine is dedicated to Lord Krishna in the form of a seven year old child referred to as Shrinathji.
After this visit, continue the drive to Pushkar and on arrival check in to a hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 12 Pushkar attractions – Delhi next
Brahma Temple Pushkar
Get energized with a warm hotel breakfast and next make a visit to the Brahma Temple. This temple is a sacred Hindu temple believed to be one of the last few existing temples which is dedicated to the Hindu creator Brahma. The present-day structure dates back to the 14th century, however it is believe that the temple is nearly 2000 years old.
After a visit at this temple, continue on to visit Braham Sarovar which is an ancient water tank sacred to Hindus for purity and cleansing.
Later, enjoy a relaxing car ride to Delhi taking about 6 hours and on arrival check in to a hotel. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 13 Delhi attractions and departure
This last day of the tour begins with a filling breakfast at the hotel followed by a full-day city tour of Old and New Delhi. Begin with a visit to the India Gate, a war memorial built in 1921 which is dedicated to the soldiers’ lives lost in the First World War. Continue to visit the Parliament House which is the government’s headquarters and located nearby.
Next on, a visit will be made to the famous Lotus Temple, with an unique architectural structure in the shape of a flower, it is the only Bahai Temple of Worship.
Continue on to explore the historical monuments of Delhi; the Qutub Minar, which is one of the tallest minarets in India, and Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Also make a visit to the Red Fort, which was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and used to be the home of Mughal emperors for almost 200 years. Lastly, a visit will be made to the sacred Gandhi Memorial site.
In the evening, get transferred to the airport and connect to a flight for onward destination.
