Get the chance to enjoy the historical monuments of Delhi, the love story of Agra and the colorful Jaipur. After the first part of this tour, continue on to experience the scenery and landscapes of Srinagar which includes the Dal Lake and many ornate Mughal gardens. Finish with a sacred experience in Varanasi, known as the oldest living city of the world and the holiest city for Hindus.
Day 1 Arrival in Delhi
The Golden Triangle with Srinagar and Varanasi begins with arrival in Delhi where transfer to a hotel is arranged. Check in to the hotel and enjoy a good night’s rest to get energy for the upcoming days.
Day 2 Srinagar journey
Enjoy a warm breakfast at the hotel after waking up and thereafter prepare for transferring to Delhi Airport and connecting for the Srinagar-flight. Srinagar can be described as the pride of the Kashmir Valley, offering a beautiful landscape with mesmerizing lakes which will be hard to forget after leaving. On arrival, check in to the hotel or houseboat.
In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on a famous Shikara. This is a type of wooden boat and the ride will be experienced in the beautiful Dal Lake. Take a moment to enjoy this journey while witnessing the beautiful view. Later return to the hotel and get a good night’s sleep.
Day 3 Gulmarg experience
This day begins with a warm, filling breakfast at the hotel and afterwards waits an exciting day-trip to Gulmarg, known as the “Meadow of Flowers”. Situated at an altitude of 2730 meters, enjoy a full day at own leisure to take the exciting walks on the lush green meadows of flowers with a backdrop of the snow-capped mountains. Enjoy a pony ride or Gondola ride (rope way) to Khillanmarg at own expense.
Later drive back to Srinagar. En-route visit Nishat Garden known as “Garden of pleasure” built in the 16th century (1633) by the Mughal Emperor Asif Khan. Visit the Shalimar Garden which is also known as the “Garden of love” and was built in the 16th century (1619) by Mughal Emperor Jahangir for his beloved wife Noor Jehan also known as Mehr-un-Nissa. Also visit the Shankaracharya temple situated on top of a hill where you can have a view of the whole Srinagar City. After this exciting day, head back to the hotel to enjoy a good night’s rest.
Day 4 Sonmarg day-trip
Wake up to enjoy a warm breakfast and prepare for a full day excursion to Sonmarg - at 2690 metres it is rightly known as “The Meadow of Gold”. It is also known as “Gateway of Ladakh”. This hill station used to be a gateway for the ancient Silk Road, connecting India with other countries such as China.
After experiencing Sonmarg, enjoy a relaxing evening drive back to Srinagar. Get back to the hotel and get some sleep for tomorrow’s adventures.
Day 5 The start of the Golden Triangle

Wake up refreshed and begin this day with a breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, a car will be arranged to transfer to the Srinagar airport to connect to a Delhi-flight.
After landing in Delhi, enjoy a relaxing car ride to the next destination of the tour: Jaipur. When arriving in Jaipur, check in to the hotel and get a good night’s sleep for next day.
Day 6 Jaipur sites
Start the day by having a tasty hotel breakfast and then prepare for today’s sightseeing. The Jaipur sightseeing will begin with a visit to the Amber Fort. Amber was the antique capital of the state. Now an abandoned complex and one of the best hilltop forts in the country, Amber is something which no traveler can afford to miss. It is a magnificent fort complex with a number of attractive palaces, halls and temples such as Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, Jai Mandir, Ganesh Pol, and many more.
We will continue for a city tour of Jaipur by visiting the City Palace & Museum, Jantar Mantar – the UNESCO World Heritage Site Observatory, Hawa Mahal and magnetic bazaars. After this eventful day, enjoy a good night’s sleep back at the hotel.
Day 7 The Marvelous Agra
Get refreshed with a morning breakfast at the hotel and prepare for today’s journey to Agra. Relax in a car ride, taking about 5 hours to reach Agra, and on arrival check in to the hotel. At noon, get ready to experience a truly touching story about love, loss and sorrow. A visit to the stunning Taj Mahal will be a memory for life where you will witness the story of the Mughal emperor’s loss will be described; how Shah Jahan lost his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Today Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal both lay in this mausoleum and their love story is told thousands of times a day.
Later, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site: Agra Fort, described as a walled city, built in 1566. Get the chance to close study the progress of Mughal structural design from red stones to white marbles. Afterwards, get back to the hotel and have an overnight stay.
Day 8 Lord Krishnas birthplace - Varanasi train ride

Enjoy this morning with a warm hotel breakfast and have a few hours at own leisure. Later during the day a car will be arranged to drive to Mathura, the birth place of Lord Krishna. Here will be the opportunity to briefly enjoy the sight of this city and then transfer by train to Varanasi at the Mathura Railway Station. There will be an overnight stay on the train.
Day 9 Arrival in Varanasi
This morning arrive in Varanasi by train and check in to a hotel. Enjoy this day by relaxing and in the evening get the chance to visit and experience the Ganga Aarti Ceremony by the ghats.
Later, enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10 Varanasi exploration
Temples of Varanasi
This day begin with an early morning boat ride on the Ganges river to see the bathing Ghats (river bank) and cremation site. Sunrise on the riverfront, as seen from the boat, can be a spiritually uplifting sight.
Afterwards have a city tour of Varanasi - visit the Bharat Mata temple with a big relief map of India in marble, Durga temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir and Sankat Mochan Temple. Also visit Benaras Hindu University which has an art gallery & the mosque of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Return back to the hotel for a warm and energizing breakfast.
In the afternoon, enjoy an excursion to Sarnath - the buried Buddhist city where Buddha preached his first sermon. The story is that after Buddha attained enlightenment at Bodh Gaya he went to Sarnath, and it was here that he preached his first discourse in the deer park to set in motion the “Wheel of the Dharma”. It is one of Buddhism's most holy sites.
In the evening, transfer to Varanasi Railway station train-ride to Delhi. Get a good night’s sleep on-board.
Day 11 The Delhi experience
Morning arrival in Delhi and on arrival transfer to the hotel. At noon, enjoy a tour of Old and New Delhi start with visiting The Raj Ghat, the memorial site for Mahatma Gandhi, which also marks the location of his cremation. Afterwards, visit the Jama Masjid mosque which is the largest mosque in India and can hold more than 25.000 people in its courtyard. Built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between the years 1644-1656, it shows a beautiful and impressive Mughal architectural structure.
Later visit the tallest stone tower in India, the Qutub Minar, reaching the height of 74 meters. Also visit the India Gate, a war memorial dedicated to the martyrs of World War I, the Parliament House which is the government headquarters, and the official residence of the Indian president. Lastly visit the Lotus Temple. Built in 1986, this stunning Lotus-like structure will be a nice final experience for the last day of this tour. Afterwards, head back to the hotel and get a good night’s rest for tomorrow’s departure.
