Day 1 Arrival in Delhi
The Monuments of India Tour starts by arrival in Delhi where a representative is arranged to transfer to the hotel. Enjoy this day at own leisure to get comfortable and energized for upcoming days, get a good night’s sleep at the hotel.
Day 2 Old and New Delhi Sights
Enjoy an energizing breakfast after a good night’s rest and get ready for today’s adventures. Starting in Old Delhi, the first monument to see is the Raj Ghat, a memorial for Mahatma Gandhi and the spot of his cremation. Nearby is the stunning Red Fort where the Mughal emperor had his residence for almost 200 years. Next awaits a visit to one of the largest mosques, Jama Masjid. Built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, it is an impressive architectural structure that can fit more than 25.000 people. Also get the chance to enjoy bargaining and the hunt for some beautiful handicrafts, traditional clothing or exotic spices at the Chandni Chowk market. This market is one of the oldest and busiest markets in Delhi.
Next on to New Delhi, visit the impressive Qutub Minar monument, where the first foundation for the tower was laid down in 1200. Also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is a monument worth visiting. Next up is a trip to the India Gate, a war memorial built during 1921-1931, and the Rashtrapati Bhawan (“Presidential Residence”) which is the official home of the president of India.
Temples await in the afternoon, where a visit will be made to the Laxminarayan Temple, Lotus Temple and Akshardam Temple. The Laxminarayan Temple, also known as Birla Mandir, is a Hindu temple dedicated to “Laxminarayan” or Vishnu, and was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1939. The impressive Lotus Temple was built in 1986 and is a Bahá’í House of Worship, its Lotus-like structure attracts hundreds of tourist’s each day. The Akshardham Temple (also known as “Swaminarayan Akshardham Complex”) is a Hindu temple which shows incredible artistic structures, Hindu art carvings and Indian history. Surely this eventful day has left some great memories and a good night’s sleep back at the hotel awaits.
Day 3 Agra journey
The Taj Mahal
Wake up with vigor and after breakfast get ready for today’s journey to Agra. Towards Agra there will be an opportunity to make a stop in Mathura, the bird city of lord Krishna. This city is considered holy by Hindus and is one of the seven Sapta Puri cities (holy cities for Hindu pilgrimage).
Check in to the hotel on arrival in Agra and begin the sightseeing by visiting the Agra Fort. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this stunning monument can be described as a walled city. Its original foundation was laid down during the 11th century, and the present-day structure was built by the Mughals. Continue on to visiting the breathtaking Taj Mahal, a monument risen by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his late wife Mumtaz Mahal. This beautiful story of love, passion and sorrow will leave a memory for life along with the sight of this impressive architectural structure. After finishing the tour of the Taj Mahal, there is a possibility to visit the Dayal Bagh community. Later enjoy some rest at the hotel to prepare for tomorrow’s exciting ride to the Pink City.
Day 4 Jaipur next
After a good night’s rest and a filling breakfast, a car ride will be arranged to travel on to Jaipur – the Pink City. On the way, there will be a visit at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Fatehpur Sikri. This city was founded by the Mughal emperor Akbar in 1569 and most of the buildings are built with beautiful red stone. When arriving in Jaipur, check in to hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at own leisure. Make sure to get some good rest for the upcoming day in the Pink City.
Day 5 Exploring the Pink City
Begin the day by renewing all energy with a warming breakfast. Sightseeing starts with an exciting elephant ride to the top of the stunning Amber Fort. This impressive architectural structure will provide an insight of ancient Amer, a town built by Meenas and later ruled by Raja Man Singh. After the fort, make a drive by the Hawa Mahal, “Palace of Winds”, built in 1799. The afternoon sightseeing includes a visit to the City Palace and the museum as well as Jantar Mantar, the UNESCO World Heritage Site-listed astronomical observatory. Enjoy the rest of the evening at own leisure and later stay overnight at the hotel to get energy for the next day.
Day 6 Transfer through Delhi
This morning begins with a breakfast to later transfer back to Delhi to check in to a hotel. Enjoy this day at own leisure to explore anything of interest, such as the colorful bazaar’s, spice and fruit markets or other exciting sites. This night will be spent at the hotel in Delhi and new adventures await tomorrow.
Day 7 Shimla arrival
After enjoying a tasty breakfast there will be an arranged car ride to the next stop of this tour: Shimla. On arrival, check in to hotel and enjoy this day freely to discover Shimla.
Day 8 Shimla adventures
Vice Regal Lodge
First enjoy a flavorful breakfast to gain energy for today’s adventures. Today begins with a trip to Jakoo Hills where a visit to the ancient Hanuman temple will be made. Nearby is also the beautiful “Rashtrapati Niwas”, Vice Regal Lodge. This former residence of the British Viceroy of India is located on the Observatory Hills which will allow for an excellent panoramic view of Shimla. Enjoy a stroll down Mall Road and the rest of the evening at own leisure and later get a good night’s sleep at the hotel.
Day 9 Day-trip to Kufri
Start the day with an appetizing breakfast and then begin a journey to the small hill station Kufri. Here there are many opportunities to enjoy different activities such as skiing and hiking, therefore enjoy this day freely according to own taste. Later go back to Shimla to get a good night's sleep at the hotel.
Day 10 Exploring Manali
Manali Apple Orchads
Enjoy a warm breakfast and get ready to transfer by car to the town of Manali. Famous for stunning natural landscapes, its apple orchards and snowy peaks, get the chance to experience nature up close. The rest of the day is for own leisure. Spend the night at a hotel in Manali and enjoy a good night’s rest.
Day 11 Manali discoveries and Kullu trip
Hadimba Devi Temple
After a tasty morning breakfast, begin this beautiful day with a visit to the ancient cave temple “Hadimba Temple”, also known as Hidimbi Devi Temple. Further on visit the Manu temple which is also an ancient temple dedicated to sage Manu. Also visit the Nagar Castle, the ancient seat of the Kings of Kullu. Later enjoy a drive to Kullu Valley and enjoy the treasures of nature, their majestic hills and the landscapes it has to offer. After this eventful day, transfer back to Manali to get rest at the hotel.
Day 12 Back to Delhi

Get energized with a hearty breakfast and get ready for a car ride back to Delhi. Check in to hotel on arrival and enjoy the rest of day freely. Get some rest to be prepared for the ending of this tour and a journey back home.
